Short: Radicalism in Politics

by sentient6082

Without radicalism there will be no democracy. Fear and conformity entwined to the hegemony of the current political ideals leads one towards centralism. Opposition from the dominant party becomes less and less potent until supposed opposition parties argue on trivialities instead of real contrasting philosophies. Somewhere within this, the people’s needs are sacrificed due to a fear of stepping from the agreed status, risking a fall from the heaven of political elitism. We need radicalism at the very least to provide the people with real democracy and true variation politics. It is relevant to the passion that is needed to lead. Otherwise, we risk a one party government that provides only an image of democracy, and all that has been fought for in its name will be lost.
